A rebrand of Recycles, a bike shop in Copenhagen, Denmark.
BRANDING EXPLORATION
In fall of 2022 while studying in Copenhagen, I was tasked with creating a visual identity for a bike store called Recycles. This shop differed from others because it reused vintage bike frames and combined them with new parts to make custom, unique bikes.
During my ideation process, I had the opportunity to speak to the owners of the bike shop and ask them questions about their future plans for the store and the values they wanted to represent through their brand.
CONCEPT
After my conversation with the owners of Recycles, I read through my notes to identify the core values of Recycles. I found that the characteristics of this bike shop that differentiated it from others were:
It catered custom bikes to everyday people
The owners focused on building strong relationships with their customers
It mixed old frames with new parts
Overall, my rebranding seeks to utilize the aspects of what makes Recycles unique through deconstructing the fundamental shapes of a bike.
